Available Tools
Canvas
Canvas is the learning management system for the University of Oregon. It can be used for hybrid and online education and allows instructors and students to collaborate over the learning experience. Support documentation for Canvas has been drafted by Instructure, Canvas' parent company, and UO Online Education and can be found at the links below:
Microsoft 365
Microsoft 365 is a suite of applications including Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams) and collaboration and automation tools.
Go to office.uoregon.edu and sign-in with your UO email address and associated password.

Microsoft Teams
Microsoft Teams is a communications application that allows for chat, audio calls, video calls, and screen sharing for all UO affiliations.
Go to teams.microsoft.com and sign-in with your full @uoregon.edu email and associated password to use Teams.
- From the web application, you can download the desktop application for your computer.
- It is also available for mobile device download within your device's associated app store and through the SCCM Software Self-Service program for Windows PCs connected to the university domain.

Panopto
Panopto is a video creation and management tool that is integrated within Canvas. Log in to a Canvas course then select Panopto Recordings to access it.
Panopto allows for the creation of video content through their downloadable application (for Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android devices) and uploading video files to their service in the Panopto Recordings screen. Support documentation for Panopto has been drafted by the vendor and is available in their community pages:
Zoom
Zoom is a video-based communications application that allows for chat communication and videoconferencing. It is fully integrated into Canvas to allow for virtual office hours and remote class periods.
