Considerations

• The Canvas student mobile app, Canvas by Instructure in the app stores, is available for free. 
  • The mobile app can only connect to one Canvas environment at a time. You can connect to either canvas.uoregon.edu or community.uoregon.edu. 
• Important: it is strongly recommended that students do not submit assignments or take quizzes on a mobile device. 
  • In some cases, it is difficult to successfully submit a file.
• With all SimCheck assignments, you must use a computer to submit via Canvas in a web browser. 
  • A mobile device will not successfully submit a SimCheck assignment.
• Pope Tech's Alternative Formats feature is automatically available in all Canvas courses. It allows students to convert Canvas pages and linked files into other formats like Braille, MP3, eBook, and Word.

  • Please note that this feature is not intended to fix accessibility issues in source content. 
  • Students who require alternative formats of course materials due to a disability should work directly with ⁠Accessible Education Center (AEC).
