Getting Started with UO VPN

Overview

The University of Oregon's virtual private network (UO VPN) allows you to securely connect to the UO campus network from home or any other non-campus internet service.

It is available to all university-affiliated people for connecting to campus resources from any off-campus location.

Do I need VPN? Most UO services don't require it. See when to use VPN and when not to use VPN below.

Installing UO VPN

  1. Visit the UO VPN site at vpnclient.uoregon.edu

Connecting via split tunnel to UO VPN

Please Note: This method is advisable only when an online meeting as this improves the meeting and call quality while accessing VPN-protected resources. Use this sparingly.
