This article is designed to guide university-affiliated persons through the process of configuring their University of Oregon email account with the iOS Mail application for iPhones and Apple Mobile Devices.

UOmail and Exchange
- Tap the Settings icon.
- Tap Mail.
- Tap Accounts, and then click Add Account.
- Tap Microsoft Exchange.
- Enter your full UO email address.
- Change the description if you wish.
- Tap Next.
- A prompt will ask you if you would like to connect via Microsoft. Click Sign In.
- After verification is complete, enter your Duck ID password.
- Change the description if you wish.
- Tap Next.
- Choose what you would like to sync to your device. Only mail is required.
- Tap Save to complete account setup.
To update your password:
The Mail app will prompt you to update your password when you open the app. If it doesn't, remove the account from Passwords & Accounts, then add it back using the instructions above.
Webmail
- Tap the Settings icon.
- Tap Mail.
- Click Accounts and then click Add Account.
- Tap Other.
- Tap Add Mail Account.
- Enter your name, UO email address and Duck ID password (the same password you would use for Canvas or Webmail).
- Change the description, if you wish.
- Tap the Next button at the top right.
- In the Host Name box, enter imap.uoregon.edu
- In the User Name box, enter your @uoregon.edu email.
- In the Password box, enter your Duck ID password.
- In the Outgoing Mail Server section, in the Host Name box enter smtp.uoregon.edu
- In the User Name box, enter your @uoregon.edu email.
- In the Password box, enter your Duck ID password.
- If there are any buttons/options for SSL with IMAP or SMTP, then please make sure SSL is in the ON position for IMAP and START/TLS is selected for SMTP.
- When configuring the ports, you'll want to have the IMAP port set to 993 and the SMTP port set to 587.
- Tap the Next button at the top right.
- Mail will now verify your settings... Please wait for it to finish.
- Tap the Save button at the top right.
Note: If you have issues adding the account, try entering just your Duck ID in the User Name box instead of the full @uoregon.edu email.
To update your password:
- Tap the Settings icon.
- Tap Mail.
- Click Accounts.
- Tap on your University of Oregon email account.
- Under the IMAP header, tap Account.
- Under Incoming Mail Server, enter your updated password.
- Under Outgoing Mail Server, tap on smtp.uoregon.edu
- Under Primary Server, tap on smtp.uoregon.edu
- Under Outgoing Mail Server, tap on password and enter your updated password in the password field.
- Tap Done in the upper right-hand corner.
