Software Assistance on Department Computers

Service Description

This service is to allow you to get in contact with your IT support staff to request updates, installation or assistance with software installed on your department computer. Software listed below are typically required to be updated or installed peroidically:

  • Adobe Flash
  • Java
  • Microsoft Office
  • Adobe Acrobat
  • VLC Media Player
  • KeePass
  • Adobe Creative Suite

These are just a few examples of software that you may need assistance with. This is not an exhaustive list. Please press the Request Help button on the right of this page to send in a ticket and your IT support staff will work with you to get your software requirements met.

Service Levels

Service is based on availiablity. Some software such as Java and the VPN will only take 5-10 minutes to install or update. Other software such as Microsoft Office or the Adobe Creative Suite may take between 30-90 minutes to install.  Please coordinate with your appropriate IT support unit to schedule an adequate window of time to complete the requested actions.

There are no additional charges for the use of this service. (Unless purchasing a new license for software)
