MorningStar Direct

Overview

MorningStar Direct are cloud-based tools to research and analyze investment data. They are available to Lundquist College of Business (LCB) students using the LCB Virtual Lab. Limited number of licenses available to Finance faculty and post-graduate students upon request.

How to Access Service

MorningStar Direct can be accessed from any platform using the LCB Virtual Lab. The MorningStar Direct desktop application is only available on Windows. The service can also be accessed using their website.

LCB Virtual Lab

1. Sign into the LCB Virtual Lab (either by visiting UO Open Virtual Lab (with your Duck ID) or VMWare Horizon Client)
2. Launch the MorningStar Direct application. Account information should be auto-entered.

Individual Accounts

Access via Windows Desktop

1. Launch the MorningStar Direct application
2. Use account information to sign in to application

Access via Cloud

1. Visit MorningStar Direct Cloud
2. Use account information to sign in to service
