General Email Settings for Other Devices or Programs

This article contains information for:

If you aren't sure which email system you are on, please see All About Email at UO.

    • SSL/TLS on port 993
  • POP (incoming mail): pop.uoregon.edu
    • SSL/TLS on port 995
    SMTP (outgoing mail): smtp.uoregon.edu
    • STARTTLS on port 587 or
    • SSL/TLS on port 465

Exchange

This list of settings is for advanced users who know how to configure email software and simply need the university-specific server information.

  • IMAP/SMTP (incoming and outgoing): exchange.uoregon.edu
    • IMAP (incoming): SSL/TLS on port 993
    • SMTP (outgoing): STARTTLS on port 587
  • ActiveSync (incoming and outgoing): sync.uoregon.edu

For mobile devices using Exchange

  • Email address: <duckid>@uoregon.edu
  • Server: sync.uoregon.edu
  • Domain: ad.uoregon.edu
    • On some phones, you may need to use just 'ad' or 'ad\<duckid>' in the domain field
  • Username: Your DuckID (the first part of your email address; the part to the left of the @ sign in your UO email address)
    • Some devices combine the 'Domain' and 'Username' fields into a single field and require only the full email address to be entered. So if the above suggestions fail to work in a combined field (i.e. ad\<duckid>), try entering just the UO email address (<duckid>@uoregon.edu).
  • Password: Your DuckID password
  • Port: 443
  • Use SSL?: On
  • S/MIME: Off
