Your Duck ID password expires every 180 days. If you have forgotten your password or are unable to log in to your email, Canvas, or other services that use your Duck ID, there are several options for resetting your Duck ID password.

Change a password you know - your password is working or expired

Use this option to change your current password, or if it has expired but you still know the password.

  • In a web browser, go to Duck ID Self-Service
  • Click on Manage Your Duck ID
  • Log in with your Duck ID (the first part of your UO email address) and your known password
  • Choose and complete a Verification Method
  • Under My Profile, click Change passwords
  • Enter your New password and Confirm
  • Click Change passwords
    • You should see the message along the top of the screen: All your passwords were changed.
  • You're done, and can logout.

Reset your password by phone

Visit one of our physical locations with photo ID.

A photo ID can be your UO ID card, driver’s license, passport, or other government-issued ID.
