Setting Up UOmail: iOS Mail Application (iPhones and iPads)

Overview

Learn how to configure your UOmail account to the Outlook app for iOS (Apple Devices)

If you aren't sure which email system you are on, please see All About Email at UO.

UOmail

  1. Tap the Settings icon.
  2. Tap Mail.
  3. Tap Accounts, and then click Add Account.
  4. Tap Microsoft Exchange.
  5. Enter your full UO email address.
  6. Change the description if you wish.
  7. Tap Next.
  8. A prompt will ask you if you would like to connect via Microsoft. Click Sign In.
  9. Another prompt will inform you that Settings want to use microsoftonline.com to sign in. Select Continue.
  10. After verification is complete, enter your Duck ID password.
  11. Change the description if you wish.
  12. Tap Next.
  13. Choose what you would like to sync to your device. Only mail is required.
  14. Tap Save to complete account setup.

To update your password:

The Mail app will prompt you to update your password when you open the app. If it doesn't, remove the account from Passwords & Accounts, then add it back using the instructions above.

Server and Password Settings

  1. Under Outgoing Mail Server, tap on smtp.uoregon.edu
  2. Under Primary Server, tap on smtp.uoregon.edu
  3. Under Outgoing Mail Server, tap on password and enter your updated password in the password field.
  4. Tap Done in the upper right-hand corner.
