Configuring UO Secure for Android devices


How do I connect to UO Secure on my Android devices?


To connect to UO Secure manually:

  1. Open the Settings app.
  2. Select Wi-Fi or Wireless & networks
  3. Make sure Wi-Fi is on.
  4. Select the UO Secure network to connect.
  5. The network details window should now appear: 


  1. Enter the following information into the appropriate fields:
    • EAP method: PEAP
    • Phase 2 authentication: MSCHAPV2
    • CA certificate: "(Unspecified)" OR "Do not validate"
    • Identity: Your DuckID 
      • Note: Your DuckID is the first part of your UO email address before the @ symbol. For example, if your email address is your DuckID would be ducks123.
    • Password: Your password associated with your DuckID.
  2. Once all the information above has been entered select "connect"

You should now able to browse the internet on UO Secure.

If this does not work, please attempt the CloudPath option outlined below.

Connecting to UO Secure with CloudPath

Before you start, verify the following:

You'll need an active network connection when you start the process

  • Go into your Wi-Fi settings and forget any existing UO Secure network profile settings.
  • Connect to the uowireless network, login, and navigate to

CloudPath is an app that can configure wireless networks when the manual setup has failed. Download CloudPath from your app store by following these instructions.

  1. Visit once connected to the uowireless network and logging in. The page will load for a minute before wireless options show up.
  2. Choose "UO Secure" from the list
  3. Choose "Android Phone or Tablet"
  4. Next, Choose Step 1 "First, Install the App" and install CloudPath from the app store
  5. After installing go back to your web browser, and select Step 2 "Next, Configure Your Device".
  6. Once the download has finished, tap the hyperlink "alternate option" below Step 1 and Step 2. This should open your CloudPath app.
  7. Once in the app, you should see a field to enter [Your Username] and [Password].
  8. Enter the Duck ID and Password
  9. Select "Next"
  10. CloudPath will connect to the network.
  11. Once connected, click Done.
