Using Two-Step Login with NetApp OnCommand Unified Manager

Introduction

Interaction with the two-step login service by the NetApp OnCommand Unified Manager is controlled through the password field on the authentication screen.

Instructions

When you enter your username and password, you will receive an automatic push or phone callback.

Alternatively you can add a comma (",") to the end of your password, followed by a Duo passcode. For example, given a username bob, with password password123 and a Duo passcode 123456, you would enter:

username: bob
password: password123,123456

You may also enter the name of an authentication method in lieu of a passcode. You may choose from the following factor names:

push Push a login request to your phone (if you have Duo Mobile installed and activated on a smart device). Just review the request and tap Approve to log in.
phone             Authenticate via phone callback.
sms Request a new batch of SMS passcodes. Your authentication attempt will be denied. You can then authenticate with one of the newly delivered passcodes.

Returning to the previous example, if you wanted to use Duo Push (rather than a passcode) to authenticate, you would enter:

username: bob
password: password123,push

You can also specify a number after the name of the authentication method if you have more than one device enrolled. For example, you can enter phone2 or push2 if you have two phones enrolled.
