Moving Tickets Between Applications

Overview

This article will guide TDNext users through the process of moving a ticket across ticketing applications (or Applications).

Environment

We have multiple ticketing applications at the University of Oregon. You can use the Move to Application option to move the ticket into another ticketing application.

  • When the ticket is moved, any fields that exist in both ticketing applications will be transferred, and the fields can be edited.
  • However, if there are fields in this source application that the target ticketing application does not have, the values will be added to the Feed so that the information isn't lost; however, these fields cannot be edited.

Moving a Ticket

  1. In TDNext, open the source ticketing application, where the ticket is contained.
  2. Open the ticket you want to move.
  3. Select the Actions drop-down menu, then select Move to Application.

  4. Choose the target application from the list.
    1. If it is a Service Request in your application, ensure that you are picking a service request in the new application. (If you do not see the Application you need to transfer the ticket to, please refer to TeamDynamix Access Request for additional permissions).

  5. Select the service in the target application.
    1. If it is a Service Request in your application, ensure that you are picking a service request in the new application. (If you do not see the Application you need to transfer the ticket to, please refer to TeamDynamix Access Requestt for additional permissions).
    2. Type in or select the service and/or the responsible person/group.

  6. Once that is filled out, select the Move button at the top of the page. You are done.
