Issue
Each attempt to either print to PDF, save as PDF, or export to PDF from a Word document causes Microsoft Word to hang and crash.
Environment
UO-managed Windows computer
Description
Hi there,
My UO computer recently decided that it could no longer make pdfs from Microsoft Word documents. I tried to disable the Word "add-in" for making pdfs so that I could update and re-enable it, but unfortunately I am unable to reinstall the add-in. My Adobe app seems to be working fine, I am just unable to make new pdfs out of Word docs. Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated!
Resolution
Merely repairing the app may not be enough and modifying the add-ins to remove/re-add the PDFMaker add-in may also not work.
Un-installing and re-installing Office typically does:
- Open the Software Center app.
- Under the Applications option, locate the Microsoft Office 365 - Base - NUL task sequence.
- Click Uninstall.
- Once complete, using the same tool, click Install.
- Test the print-to-PDF functionality again.
