Technology Order Request

USS provides purchasing services to UO departments, programs, and institutes for the purpose of procuring computer and other IT equipment for use by their faculty, staff, & students. Purchase selection is limited to systems found in the USS Device and Hardware Standards, which outline the standard supported hardware models for end-user devices supported by USS.

How to Submit Request

To submit a purchase request, select Submit Request (upper right corner) and provide the following required information:

  1. Required Information
    1. Title--a short description of the request
    2. Are you ordering on behalf of another person--if yes, select the person who will use the equipment
    3. Detailed description of the requirements for the system
    4. What kind of purchase (select all that apply):
      1. Faculty Primary Device
      2. Staff Primary Device
      3. Faculty Secondary Device
      4. Staff Secondary Device
      5. Research Instrument
      6. Lab Instrument
      7. Shared Device
      8. Student Employee Device
      9. Public Computing Device/Kiosk
      10. Other (describe)
    5. Cost Index
    6. Is any part of the purchase using a subsidy program (yes/no)
    7. Is any part of the purchase using grant funds (yes/no)
    8. Verification of Purchase Agreement
  2. Provide the following if known
    1. Activity code
    2. Any financial notes, such as index splitts or other special instructions (if known)
    3. Attach any vendor quotes or supporting documentation related to the request.

Purchasing restrictions vary by department. See Department & Unit IT Support for contact information for your respective department or unit. Those without departmental IT staff can Submit a General Help Ticket or contact the Technology Service Desk.

UO Acceptable Use of Computing Resources Policy

USS no longer facilitates the purchase of printers, and printing supplies. This service is being implemented and managed by the Fleet Copier and Managed Printer Program.
