Departmental Folders

Overview

University of Oregon units may want to maintain their own IDR Cognos Departmental Folders in which to keep reports they have developed for internal use. In addition, within the departmental folder, they may want to create additional folders to organize and manage access to the reports.

The head of the responsibility unit can be granted the ability to create folders within the departmental folder and manage user access to the folders. This responsibility may also be delegated up to two other people within the unit. The access form to administer security rights to a departmental folder or to assign folder delegates must be completed then submitted via the Integrated Data & Reporting (IDR) - Cognos Help service page.
