Overview
If your login information is correct, your Windows device is updated, and if you've tried most basic known troubleshooting methods to attempt to connect to UO Secure but it still won't connect, then this article will teach you how to fix the issue in most cases.
Issue 1: I was previous connected to the network, but can no longer connect
Resolution: Forget the network and reconfigure
Forget the network
- Forget the UO Secure Network by selecting the WiFi icon on the bottom right (in the taskbar).
- Select Network & Internet settings.
- Select Wi-Fi within the left bar on the new window.
- Select Manage known networks on the right, then this should open a list of networks.
- Select UO Secure, then the Forget button.
- This will remove UO Secure from the list. (Note: if you don't see UO Secure in that list, that's fine! That means the network is already removed)
Reconfigure the UO Secure profile certificate
- Go to Set up UO Secure.
- Sign in with your full UO email address and password and tap the button JoinNow.
See Configuring UO Secure (Windows) for more detailed steps.
Issue 2: "Network not in Range" error while running connection process
Resolution: Forget the network and reconnect
- Off campus: This is normal, and your device should connect automatically when you come to campus. (The error message may also say your password may be incorrect—which may be true if you get to campus and your device doesn't connect automatically; see below.)
- On campus: Your password is likely incorrect. You may need to start the process over again, or visit the Technology Service Desk for help.
