Service Description

Wired networking, also known as Ethernet, provides a UOnet and Internet connection for a desktop or laptop computer, or for some other network-capable device.

  • If you need to request wiring for a new wired network be installed and provisioned where there is none available, see Network & Phone Wiring Services.

Service Levels

Maintenance for wired network typically occurs Mondays at 3:30-7am and Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays at 5am-7am. See Network maintenance windows at

  • To report a campus network down emergency* after hours: call (541) 346-6387, select option 3 and leave a message.
  • *Network down emergency: A network problem affecting multiple campus users and/or portions of a building or larger.

Jack activation: $150 (one time) Move an Ethernet jack: $50
