Question
How can I connect to the UO Secure network?
Solution
Configuring your device for UO Secure
Tip: On campus, you can use the
UO Guest wireless network to get UO Secure set up. But you don't need to be on campus. You can run the setup process anywhere!
The following explains how to set up your device to use UO Secure the first time.
- Visit wifi.uoregon.edu and select Get connected.
- Follow the on-screen instructions.
Alternatively, you can visit the instructions for your specific operating system below:
Getting an error about "network not in range" when you finish this process?
- Off campus: This is normal, and your device should connect automatically when you come to campus. (The error message may also say your password may be incorrect—which may be true if you get to campus and your device doesn't connect automatically; see below.)
- On campus: Your password is likely incorrect. You may need to start the process over again, or visit the Technology Service Desk for help.
System Requirements
The software used to set up UO Secure runs on Windows 10 and macOS or newer. Supported mobile devices are iOS 4 and later or Android 4.0 and later. Internet of Things (IoT) devices (like smart speakers, video game consoles, etc.) are not supported.
