Removing the Zoom plugin for Outlook

Overview

Learn how to remove the Zoom plugin for Outlook.

Procedures

These instructions refer to the Zoom plugin for Outlook, which corresponds with the Schedule a Meeting button, located near the left end of the Outlook ribbon when you're scheduling a meeting. The following screenshot shows the appearance of that button in the Office 365 version of Outlook for Windows. If you're seeing a different button, located near the right end of the ribbon, you may be using the Zoom add-in for Outlook instead. See Creating a Zoom meeting.

Please select the procedure below that applies to your computer's operating system.

For macOS

1. Close all Microsoft Office applications
2. Open Finder
3. Click Applications
4. Control-click Zoom Plugin for Outlook (not Zoom.us!) and select Move to Trash, or drag-and-drop it to the Trash.

For Windows

1. Close all Microsoft Office applications
2. Click the Start menu or the Search icon next to it
3. Enter Apps & features, then click Apps & features when it shows up in the results
4. In the following window, scroll down to find the Zoom Plugin for Outlook. (It may have a version number as well.)
5. Click Zoom Plugin for Outlook, then click Uninstall. (This may require administrative privileges—your username and password for your computer, not your Duck ID.)
