Comment on a Voiceboard (VB) message

Overview

Voiceboard (VB) messages and VB comments are related but different. A VB message is left in direct response to your teacher's VB post. VB comments are what you leave in response to other people (aka classmate's) VB messages. Read below to learn how to leave a comment.

For more information about what VBs are and how to create them, please read the Voiceboards for Students article.

How to leave a comment

  1. Find the + MESSAGE button in the VB post.
This image shows the add message button.
  2. There will be a list of names under the + MESSAGE button (unless you are the first person to post a message, in which case your name will be first on the list!).
  3. Click on a name in the list to open that person's VB message.
  4. Review the contents of that persons' message.
    • Important: Be sure to read any written message but also any attached audio or video recording, image, etc.
  5. Click on + COMMENT once that person's VB message opens.
This image shows where a student can find classmate's Voiceboard messages and how to comment on them.
  6. Prepare your comment. Remember to follow any instructor directions on how to comment (write a message, record yourself speaking, both, etc). You can see examples of where and how to do each in the screenshot below.
  7. When satisfied with your message, click on POST
