Overview
Many ANVILL activities allow you (and your students) to record audio and video messages for sharing. The idea is to make speaking practice outside of class both easy and convenient.
This page guides instructors through the methods on how to use the ANVILL's recorder from inside an activity they're creating (i.e., Voiceboard, True-False, Interactive Video, etc.).
Recording Methods
Depending on the type of ANVILL activity you are creating (e.g. a Voiceboard, Interactive Video, etc), you may see one of the below options for adding media. Scroll down (or click) for further instructions based on which Media icon below you see in the activity you're creating.

- Click the + MEDIA button. A menu listing labeled Upload, Embed, Record will open.
- Click RECORD to open the recorder. The default setting is video recording. To change to audio recording, click AUDIO in the top left corner.
- Test your microphone's volume by speaking. We also recommend practicing what you're going to say before you begin recording.
- When ready to record, click BEGIN RECORDING.

- Once finished recording, click Done. Replay your message.
- If you don't like your recording and want to change it, click TRY AGAIN.
- If you are satisfied with your message and want to save it, click LOOKS GOOD.
