Connecting to eduroam (Android)

Question

How to connect to the eduroam network from an Android device.

Note: The wording and interface may be slightly different than the steps below, depending on the phone and version of Android.

Solution

Configuration

First, your device needs to be configured to connect to eduroam.

See Configuring UO Secure (Android) for more details. The certificate installer works for both eduroam and UO Secure.

Once configured

  1. Open the Settings app.
  2. Choose Connections
  3. Choose Wi-Fi.
  4. Select the network eduroam from the list of possible networks.
