1Password provides a secure and user-friendly platform for managing your passwords and other sensitive information. Follow this guide to activate your account, set up trusted devices, and start using 1Password.
Student Eligibility
Students at the University of Oregon are eligible for a free 1Password individual account for four years.
Can I take my passwords with me?
Yes! After four years, you'll just need to start paying for it yourself. You can do that in the billing section of your account. If you choose not to pay, you’ll still be able to access your account view your entries, but you won't be able to add new ones or use autofill in your browser.
Activate your free 1Password Individual Account
- Visit Redeem Your 1Password Promotion.
- Enter GOFT4D6VEF7HM as your "Company Token," enter your UO email address, then select Redeem 1Password Account.
- Select Redeem 1Password Account
- You’ll receive an email at your UO email account with the subject: "You’ve been given the gift of 1Password."
- Select Get Started and complete registration.
- Use a personal email address to register your 1Password account. That makes it easier for you to keep your account after you graduate!

Ways to access 1Password

Importing your existing passwords
You can transfer data into 1Password from other password managers (such as LastPass or KeePass) and from browsers.
