PaperCut: Charging by paper area

Overview

This page will provide instructions on how to get a printer to charge by square foot of printing instead of per page.

Process

  1. The USS regional unit will submit a ticket to EDM-Labs Team via EDM PaperCut Printing Management Request
  2. EDM-Labs will add the printer to IS-Duckprints (PaperCut Server)
  3. USS regional unit technicians will navigate to the web admin interface for IS-Duckprints Web Admin Console and login with their adm-duckid account
  4. Once authenticated, on left-hand side, click Printers
    1. Click on the printer for that you want to change the charging option
    2. Click on the Charging tab
      The charging tab is selected and Cost based on Area is set to Square Foot.
    3. Change the charging type to Paper Area you will then see the options to set charging per square foot of printing
      1. Set the price that you would like to charge per square foot in the Cost based on area section
