What is a Column in ANVILL?
Columns help organize information in your ANVILL lesson. It allows you to add multiple ANVILL activities and content into one single vertical column. This is helpful because it acts as an organizational container that can help you to scaffold information for your learners in one location. With columns, you can create easily located, easy-to-follow, multifaceted activities.
For example, you can add a quiz question, an interactive video, and a speak the words activity in a single vertical container.
How to Create a Column in ANVILL
- Create or open the ANVILL lesson in which you want to add an Interactive Video.
- Click on + Add Content at the top of the page.
- Click on the Column icon in the content menu that opens
- Type a title for your column.
- Click on the Content drop-down menu to select the first piece of content you want to add.
(Please note that at this point, it is a good idea to click the green Create button in the bottom-right of the window. This will officially create your content in ANVILL and an early record of it. You can then click on the green pencil circular pencil icon in the top right of your column to open back up your activity and continue creating)
- Once you have added and completed all the steps to create your first piece of content, click on the green Add Content button towards the bottom of your Column activity, to add your next piece of content.
- Once you are done creating your column activities, click on the icon by the title of your column activity in ANVILL to save and exit.
