iOS Screen Sharing with the Zoom Desktop Client

Information

Zoom allows for iOS screen sharing from iPhone and iPad, using the Zoom desktop client. You can share wirelessly for both Mac and PC, utilizing iOS Screen Mirroring, or you can connect your iOS device to your Mac computer with a cable to share.

You can also share your entire iOS device screen using Screen Recording on iOS 11 or later. Learn more.

Note: Some types of videos cannot be shared when using Screen Mirroring.

Screen Mirroring

  • Zoom client for Windows 3.5.27094.0918 or later
  • Zoom client for Mac 3.5.27094.0918 or later
  • Computer and iOS device on the same network
  • Install the plug-in for sharing iPhone/iPad*
  • iPhone 4 or later; iPad; iPad mini, 4th generation or later
  • Network and computer firewalls allowing Airplay access - Read more

*You will be prompted to download this the first time you choose to share your iOS device via Airplay, or you can download it manually from the Download Center.

Wired Sharing

  • macOS 10.10 or later
  • Zoom client for Mac 4.0.35295.0605 or later
  • iOS device running iOS 8 or later
  • Lightning cable

Instructions

How to Share with Screen Mirroring

  1. In your meeting, click Share Screen.
  2. Choose iPhone/iPad.
  3. Optional: If you would like to share your phone audio into the meeting, check Share computer sound.
  4. Click Share Screen.
  5. If prompted, choose to install the plug-in.
  6. Follow the instructions to connect your iOS device.
  7. On your phone, swipe up to access the control center.
  8. Tap Screen Mirroring.
  9. Choose the Zoom-your computer option.
  10. Your phone is now shared into the meeting. 

How to Share with a Wired Connection

Note: Sharing with a wired connection is only possible on macOS devices.
  1. In your meeting, click Share Screen.
  2. Choose iPhone/iPad via Cable.
  3. Optional: If you would like to share your phone audio into the meeting, check Share computer sound.
  4. Click Share Screen.
  5. Follow the instructions displayed.
    • Connect your iPhone or iPad via cable. 
    • When prompted on the iOS device, select Trust.
    • Enter your passcode if required.
  6. Your phone is now shared into the meeting.
