Zoom: How to Verify Your Account is in the UO HIPAA Environment

Overview

For UO Zoom users who handle HIPAA-regulated data (i.e. counseling and medical patient records), a HIPAA-compliant environment is available that includes Zoom. To confirm whether your UO Zoom account has already been moved to this environment, follow the instructions below.

Instructions

  1. In a web browser, sign in at https://uoregon.zoom.us using your UO credentials.
  2. Once signed in, click on Account Profile in the left-side menu.
  3. On your Account Profile page, you'll see one of the following scenarios:

Standard Tenant users will see:

  • Account Name: University of Oregon
  • Account Owner: zoom@uoregon.edu
  • Account Number: 50206799

HIPAA Tenant users will see:

  • Account Name: Protected
  • Account Owner: zoomsubh@uoregon.edu
  • Account Number: 52120036

Troubleshooting

If you believe you should be seeing information on your profile page that indicates you are in the HIPAA tenant, but aren't, try the following:

  • Log out of Zoom, then log back in again. Sometimes this is required for the information on your profile page to update.
  • Clear your browser's cookies and internet cache. How to do this depends on your browser.
  • Open a "Private," "InPrivate," or "Incognito" browser window, then repeat the instructions above. Again, the name of this feature and how to implement it varies depending on your browser.
