Information regarding dialing local calls placed from campus lines and local calling prefixes.
Information
The University of Oregon Eugene campus has:
- Area code 541
- Prefix 346-0000 extended to 346-9999,
- Prefix 681-0000 extended to 681-2999.
The University of Oregon Portland campus has:
- Area code 503
- Prefix 412-0460 through 412-0479,
- Prefix 412-3650 through 412-3809,
- Area code 971
- Prefix 345-0440 through 345-0459.
Calls made between the Eugene campus and the Portland Center (White Stag Building) should be dialed using the five-digit extension number.
Dialing
- To call an extension on campus: Listen for dial tone, dial the five-digit extension.
- To call the campus operator: Listen for dial tone, dial "0".
- To report telephone malfunction:
- Departments: Report the malfunction to your departmental telephone coordinator. If coordinator is unavailable, dial 6-NETS.
- To dial local off-campus calls:
- Listen for dial tone, dial number you are trying to reach.
