Searching for existing reservations/bookings

Purpose

This article is designed to guide EMS users through the methods of searching for an existing reservation or booking within EMS

Requirements

  • An existing reservation or booking
  • The associated reservation or booking ID number (for certain methods)

Considerations

  • There are multiple methods to finding existing reservations and bookings within EMS.
  • This article will cover the following methods for search:
    • Book
    • Navigator
    • Browser
    • Calendar

Process

Book Method

  1. Open the Book dialog box by pressing Book from the toolbar
  2. Select the Building in question and scroll to the room in question
  3. Select the Date in question

Navigator Method

  1. Open the Navigator dialog box by pressing Navigator from the toolbar
  2. Select Reservation or Booking from the Open drop-down menu
  3. Enter in the Reservation ID or Booking ID in the respective field
  4. Click OK to open the reservation or booking

Browser Method

  1. Open the Browser dialog box by pressing Browser from the toolbar
  2. Ensure that the Browser is in Basic mode
    1. Click on < Basic adjacent to the Reset button if you do not see the following options
  3. Select Reservations (default setting) or Bookings from the Browse For: drop-down menu
  4. Enter a date range in the Starting Date and Ending Date
  5. Enter any other associated data that could help to narrow the search: Organization1st Contact, Reservation Event Name, Building, etc.
  6. Click on the Results tab or click the Get Data button to proceed

Calendar Method

  1. Open the Calendar dialog box by pressing Calendar from the toolbar
  2. Ensure that the Calendar is in Basic mode
    1. Click on < Basic adjacent to the Reset button if you do not see the following options
  3. Select Reservations or Bookings (default setting) from the Browse For: drop-down menu
  4. Select Month and Year from the respective drop-down menus
  5. Enter any other associated data that could help to narrow the search: Organization1st Contact, Reservation Event Name, Building, etc.
  6. Click on the Results tab or click the Get Data button to proceed
