Overview/Introduction
For Student Affairs users, we provide a remote desktop service for secure access to your files and applications while off-campus.
The remote desktop service will allow you to access:
- Your O and P drives
- Spark
- Other department-specific resources that are not available from off-campus.
This article will guide you through connecting to the Student Affairs - Remote Desktop Services server. (SA-RDS)
Information
Windows
- Download, install, and connect to the VPN (if you are unsure how, see: VPN Procedure Mac and Windows)
- Click Start > Programs > Accessories > Remote Desktop Connection
- Under computer name, enter SA-RDS
- It will connect to the Terminal Server. From here, enter your Duck ID and password credentials and make sure the domain says AD.
- You will now be connected to your own emulated workstation.
Mac
- Download, install, and connect to the VPN (if you are unsure how, see: VPN Procedure Mac and Windows)
- Find a program Remote Desktop Connection Client in your Mac. You can download it from the App Store if you don't have it.
- Under computer name, enter SA-RDS
- It will connect to the Terminal Server. From here, enter your Duck ID and password credentials and make sure the domain says AD.
- You will now be connected to your own emulated workstation.
