SAIT Remote Access (SA-RDS)

Overview/Introduction

For users supported by SAIT, we provide a remote desktop service for secure access to your files and applications while off-campus. The remote desktop service will allow you to access your O and P drives, email, spark and other department-specific resources that are not available from off-campus.

This KB Article will guide you through connecting to the Student Affairs: IT Remote Desktop Services server. (SA-RDS)

Information

PC
1. Download, install, and connect to the VPN (if you are unsure how, see: VPN Procedure Mac and Windows)
2. Click Start>Programs>Accessories>Remote Desktop Connection
3. Under computer name, enter 'SA-RDS'
4. It will connect to the Terminal Server...from here, enter your duckid and password credentials and make sure the domain says AD.
5.  You will now be connected to your own emulated workstation.  Work away!

 

MAC

1. Download, install, and connect to the VPN (if you are unsure how, see: VPN Procedure Mac and Windows)

2. find a program "Remote Desktop Connection Client" in your Mac.  If you dont have it, download and install it https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/microsoft-remote-desktop/id715768417?mt=12

3. Under computer name, enter 'SA-RDS'
4. It will connect to the Terminal Server...from here, enter your duckid and password credentials and make sure the domain says AD.
5. You will now be connected to your own emulated workstation. Work away!
