Getting Started with Adobe Firefly

Overview

Adobe Firefly is a web-based, generative-AI tool that can generate and edit images and video.

  • For generating images, video, templates, vector graphics, text effects, and image re-coloring with generative AI tools.

Accessing Firefly

Adobe Firefly is available as a standalone app solely through its website.

  • It is also appears throughout the Adobe Creative Suite applications using your Duck ID username and password.
  • Authenticated users are allowed 1,000 monthly generation credits in accordance with Adobe's site-license agreement with UO.

Features

Adobe Firefly can generate images, video, and audio, and use several design palettes.

Images

  • Images can be edited and generated using prompts.
  • Compositions can be generated for product visualizations and architectural renderings.
  • Generative match can apply the style of one image to a new generated image.
  • Sketches can be converted to digital artwork as well as cartoon generation.

Video

  • Video can be edited and generated based on prompts to a wide range of resolutions and aspect ratios.
  • Images can be converted into video clips for pitching ideas, b-roll, or visual effects.
  • Images, sketches, and text can be converted into animated videos.
  • Videos can also be translated into more than 20 languages.

Audio

  • Audio can be edited and generated based on prompts as soundtracks and speech to your video files.
  • Sound effects can be generated from prompts or reference audio files (either recorded or through your microphone)
  • Translation from English to Spanish and French (and vice versa) are also possible.

Design palettes

  • Content can take on a specific design palette based on a wide variety of physical media including an AI painting generator, art generator, tattoo generator, and pixel art.
  • Drawing palettes and character generation are also possible.
