Updating your Microsoft license

Question

Why would I need to update my Microsoft license? How do I update it?

Solution

Why you might need to update

Updating your Microsoft license is an optional step whenever there is a change being made on your Microsoft account. Typically, any changes made to your account can take up to 72 hours then afterward, restarting your applications.

For example:

  • Changing licenses (A1 to A5, A3 to A5).
  • Gaining access to a new service offering (like Copilot for M365)
  • Trying to quit or restart the application doesn't restore normal function.
