Blocking Teams Notifications from Specific Users
Overview
Learn how to limit the visibility of, and notifications from, specific users in Teams.
Solution
In Microsoft Teams, navigate to the
Chat
section
Select the More Options
menu to the right of the name of the user you don't want to receive notifications from anymore
Select
Mute
. This will prevent pop-up notifications from this user.
Additionally, you can also select the
Hide
option from this menu, which will hide the user from your list of recent chats so long as it remains an inactive thread
