Getting Started with SnapComms

Overview

SnapComms is connected to the Everbridge application used by UOAlerts and Safety and Risk Services.

This article will guide you through the access prerequisites, installation, configuration processes for Windows and macOS computers and links to additional support.

Access prerequisites

Location

Due to the insufficient cellular network coverage in the Concordia neighborhood of Portland, SnapComms is available only at the UO Northeast Portland campus including the Ballmer Institute for Children's Behavioral Health.

Please Note: This is only for UO Northeast Portland. Other UO Portland entities and all other UO locations are not included in this offering.

Faculty and staff (managed computers)

The SnapComms software will be available on your computer if your computer is managed by the university. If your computer is not managed, please proceed to the Students (unmanaged computers) section below.
