Using the Adobe Creative Cloud Application

Purpose

This article is for faculty and staff to learn how to search for the Adobe Creative Cloud desktop application or acquire it if it is not installed on your computer and about signing-in to the Adobe Creative Cloud desktop application to install any of the Adobe Creative Cloud applications (i.e., Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.) to your computer.

Signing-in to the desktop application will resolve any of the license expiration issues that may arise.

Searching for the Adobe Creative Cloud application

If your computer was set up by USS, this application should already be installed on your machine. Go to your computer’s program files or applications location to open the application

  • For Windows users: Go to the Search Bar near the Start Menu and enter in Creative Cloud to find the application.
  • For macOS users: Go to the Applications window in the Finder and look for the Adobe Creative Cloud application. Double-click it to open.

Signing in

  1. Open the application and enter your entire UO email address in the given field
  2. Select Continue.
  3. On the select an account screen, select Company or School Account.
  4. You will be redirected to sign-in with Duck ID and password.
  5. Upon sign-in, the Creative Cloud application may take a minute to update.

Installing a specific application

Once signed in, you will automatically be on the Apps page.

To find and install a specific application, you can:

  1. Use the search bar for a specific application or use a category link.
  2. Installed applications will be listed under Installed.
  3. Scroll through the listing of applications in the Available in your subscription section.
  4. To acquire an application, click Install.
    1. Once installed, the application(s) will be listed in the Installed section.
