Using Duo for 1Password

Overview

Learn how to use Duo for 1Password.

Prerequisites

• Your 1Password profile page
• Duo Mobile app

Process

Duo can be used as your two-step login for 1Password. Follow the steps below to do so.

1. Go to your 1Password profile page on the 1Password website.
2. Scroll to the Your second factors section and select Set Up App
3. A QR Code and a 16-character code will appear.
    
4. Open your Duo Mobile app
5. Select Add from your main screen, then either,
   1. Choose QR Code to scan the QR code from the 1Password website, or
   2. Choose 1Password to enter the 16-character code into the provided field.
6. You will be prompted to name the 1Password account in your Duo Mobile app. Once you are done with your changes, select Save. This can be changed at any time later as well.
7. In your Duo Mobile app, a six-digit code will appear. Enter that code into the 1Password prompt on the 1Password website. Then, select Confirm.
   

Success!: You have successfully configured 1Password with Duo!
