HIPAA and FERPA Cloud Use Disclosure
All UO faculty and staff need to be aware that no HIPAA or FERPA data can be uploaded into the Adobe cloud. Please be mindful of the data that you are sharing and uploading.
Obtaining the Software
Note: Verify that you can have or request access to Adobe by your UO affiliation. For more information, see Technology Access Timelines.
- For users with a UO-Managed Device:
- Contact your local IT team to receive an installation package for Adobe Creative Cloud.
- For users without a local IT department/team with a UO-Managed Device:
- Confirm you do not have a local IT team.
- Follow the instructions on the Adobe Self-Service Request page to install Adobe Creative Cloud on your computer.
- For users installing on a personal device:
- To install from the Web:
- Go to adobe.com and click Sign in.
- Enter your full UO email address and click Continue.
- Enter your Duck ID username and password, then authenticate with DUO.
- Click Apps to view the full list of apps you have access to. Find the app(s) you wish to download and click Install to begin downloading.
- The first time you install an Adobe app (such as Photoshop or Illustrator), you will download an installer for the app in question which you will need to run. This installer will also install the Adobe Creative Cloud application on your device.
- From your Downloads folder, run the installer to begin installation. The file should be titled something along the lines of [App Name]_Set-Up.exe, where [App Name] is the name of the application you chose to install.
- If prompted, grant the installer permission to install the application(s) onto your device.
- Once the installer has finished running, the Creative Cloud app should open automatically.
- If prompted, sign into the Creative Cloud app:
- Enter your full UO email address and click Continue.
- Enter your Duck ID username and password, then authenticate with DUO.
- The Creative Cloud app will complete the installation of the desired app(s)
- If you already have the Creative Cloud app installed, the installation file should run automatically.
- From the Creative Cloud app:
- If prompted, sign into the Creative Cloud app:
- Enter your full UO email address and click Continue.
- Enter your Duck ID username and password, then authenticate with DUO.
- In the Apps tab, find the app you wish to install and click Install.
Licensing and Restrictions
Adobe Creative Cloud and Creative Cloud Apps are available for download based on your UO affiliation. Up to two installations can be activated on either a university-owned or personal computer. Those with a proper affiliation may also access the Adobe Creative Cloud software through the UO Virtual Lab.
Included Apps
Adobe Creative Cloud includes the following applications. Creative Cloud also includes up to 20 GB of cloud storage per user. If you do not see one of the applications available on your computer after Creative Cloud has been installed and would like to use it, contact your local IT team for assistance.
