UI Changes in Latest DuckDocs (OnBase) Version

This article outlines significant User Interface (UI) changes between the newest version of DuckDocs (OnBase) Web and Unity clients and earlier versions.

These UI changes are present in OnBase 23.1, which was released to the UO community in mid-2024.

Notable UI Changes

 

Web Client menu icon is now a grid

When using the Web Client, the main menu icon will appear as a grid icon (A grid icon.) rather than a hamburger icon (Hamburger icon). The functionality of this menu icon is the same.

 

Unity Client buttons are green

When using the Unity Client, Interface buttons will now appear green rather than gray/white. The functionality of these buttons have not changed as a result of the new color.

The old button appears as a white box with a blue outline and blue text.

Unity Client displays UO Unity landing page on startup

The Unity Client will now display UO's Unity landing page when opened. The landing page includes links to relevant resources and help articles, and also includes information about OnBase maintainance windows.

Revamped Web Client Landing Page

The web client can now be launched from the new DuckDocs landing page. The new landing page is now more consistent with UO branding, and includes links to a variety of support resources and how-to articles. 


 

Dark Mode

The Web Client now defaults to using system settings for applying the new Dark Mode feature. Dark mode allows for user interfaces to appear with a darker color palette. For more information, see Configuring Dark Mode in DuckDocs (OnBase) Web Client.

Light mode appears as a light background with darker text. Selected radio buttons appear as blue.
