Overview
The following steps should be used by USS technicians when a color print job is sent to FindMeColor print queue and the job prints in black and white.
Troubleshooting Steps
- Verify the print job is being sent to print in color from the print source (i.e., Word, Photoshop, Acrobat, etc.)
- Check the toner levels in the printer or Xerox multi-function display (MFD)
- Physically check on the device
- Check the printer or device's supply levels in the DuckPrints Admin Portal
- Verify in PaperCut Admin Portal that the job is being seen as a color job in PaperCut
- Search for the Duck ID who is trying to print
- Click on the user's job log
- Find the job and verify that the print job is color and not black and white
- Contact EDM-Labs by submitting a ticket to Report a Computer Lab Problem
- Make sure to include the following in the ticket
- Duck ID trying to print
- Type of document (i.e., PDF, DOCX, PNG, JPG, etc.)
- Rough time estimate of when the job was sent
- If possible and the customer agrees, please try to include the file to see if we can replicate the issue
