SOJC IT Services

Overview

The School of Journalism and Communication (SOJC) Technology Services Department works with SOJC-affiliated students, faculty, and staff to support computer, classroom AV, videoconferencing and equipment checkout needs.

Limitations to Our Support

  • While we will always do our best to help you find a solution, we are not able to provide extensive support for personal laptops or software.
  • Our staff and student employees are happy to troubleshoot problems with a program, but we cannot accommodate tutorial requests. 
  • We can diagnose and potentially fix problems with external hard drives not reading correctly; however, SOJC IT is not equipped to perform data recovery for damaged or failing hard drives.
     

Equipment Checkout Information


We offer a variety of digital tools for short term checkout to all SOJC students, staff and faculty for use in producing their journalism projects. This collection of professional equipment is not only in high demand (averaging over 2000 transactions each term) but also vital to the SOJC and student success.

Audio and Video Equipment (Room 113)
