Overview
This article is intended to provide guidance to Bookings users on how to disable SMS notifications for their Bookings calendars. SMS notifications are disabled by default by Microsoft but if you happened to have activated SMS, you will need to turn it off. Starting on October 1, 2022, Microsoft will be charging customers who enable or have enabled this feature.
Process
Follow the steps below to disable or verify that SMS messaging is disabled. If you have multiple Bookings services, this has to be done for every Bookings service you have.
- Open Microsoft Bookings, then select Services
- Highlight a service, then select Edit Service

- Select Notifications
- Then verify that Enable text messages for your customer is unchecked. Select Save Changes to proceed.
