Duo registration guide for landline phones

Introduction

This article contains instructions on how to register a landline phone with Duo.

Landline phone numbers can receive a phone call to verify your identity.

Instructions

1. Open your preferred web browser on your desktop or laptop computer
2. Go to https://duckid.uoregon.edu/
3. Click Manage Your Duck ID
   
    
4. Enter your Duck ID and password, then click Log In
   
5. Click Manage Your Two-Step Login Devices
   
6. Click Start Setup
7. Select Landline
   
    
8. Enter the phone number you want to register in the provided field
   
    
9. Verify your phone number is entered correctly and click Continue
10. Your landline phone is now registered and can be used to login with Duo

Using your Landline for Two-Step Login

When prompted to login, choose the Call Me option

1. Answer the phone when it rings
2. You will be prompted to press 1 to authenticate; if you did not initiate this login, you can press 9 to report fraud
