, has offered up temporary free licenses to students to run on their own computers.
Obtaining a Temporary License
To obtain a license, follow the steps below.
Visit the online store at
https://store.chaosgroup.com/product/19932659
Log in with your credentials or create an account if you don't have one already
Note
: Create your account using your University of Oregon email address
Complete the short form proving your student status and upload a picture copy of your student ID card
Proceed to the checkout page. You will see an option to apply a promo code. Enter the following code:
Promo Code:
UO100OFF100
Upon order completion, you will receive a confirmation email with information with instructions for installing Vray.
Please Note:
To use the promo code, students must use their University of Oregon email address
Note: All other email orders will be cancelled.
All products are set with a standard 1-year duration and the expiration date shown in the confirmation email.
All licenses will be active until the situation with the
COVID
-19 resolves and things get back to normal, or until Chaos Group terminates them.
Licenses should be active throughout April and May at least.
Chaos Group will send out a notification before the licenses are terminated.
